Washington DC

Jon is at a conference in Washington DC this week....and today was a crazy day at the Mariott Hotel - lots of cops inside and around the hotel.  Just to get into the hotel, you either needed a reservation or show your room key. Why? Well, the DNC panel is having their meeting at his hotel to decide if they are going to seat the FL and MI delegates. Pretty cool. I'm glad that his back this weekend as we miss him a lot. We're crossing our fingers for goodies.  Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Gabe is such a treat to take pictures of...but he totally doesn't like it. I took this picture of him early this week when I was feeling well. I'm currently taking antibiotics and pain medicine...sucky way to enjoy a 3-day weekend..so I took the opportunity to upload almost 2 months worth of pictures so all worth it. I also got to watch the movie "27 dresses"..cute movie. And, I'm looking forward to starting an online photography class with Karen Russell over at Snapshots of a Good Life. Excited to learn more about photography and how to use my camera and take better pictures.

Windy City

We got the pleasure of visiting Chicago again this year. We eat at some of our favorite restaurants from last year like Le Lan and try new ones like Le Bouchon. I gained 3 lbs, so I need to start exercising soon before Jon's graduation. This picture is at Union Station - it was a great building and we got the opportunity to ride the Metra and see it from the inside. I'll post more details later of our mini-Chicago vacation later. Graduation Day

Millsaps graduation was May 10th at 9 am. It was a humid day and my hair didn't do so well. It was a special day after almost 2 years of going to school at night. Jon got to use my camera and he did a pretty good job. You can check the rest of the pics at Flickr.

365 Pics

I just finished updating my 365 project at Flickr. I am not taking pictures daily like I used to, but I'm still trying to take as many pics as possible of everyday stuff. Hope everying is having a good Memorial day weekend.

Wow! May has been a busy month. I finish my MBA at Millsaps on May 10th. It feels good to be done with school. I've been using my extra time to watch TV and do stuff around the house.

Last week, we visited Chicago for a work seminar and stayed a little longer for some fun. Pics to follow later as I don't have telephone or Internet service at the moment.

The fun will continue as we will be celebrating our four year anniversary tomorrow and Jon's graduation is in about three weeks and we will be done with his Emergency Medicine residency at UMC.

Lots of milestones happenning this year. Very exciting and busy.

I am not sure what happened to April...it was a busy month. I'm finally done with school and graduation is this Saturday. I'm excited to be done with school and look forward to use the time for more exciting stuff. I need to get back to stamping, scrapbooking, and all of the fun stuff.
My house is a mess and I started working in our bathrooms. I'm painting the bathroom cabinets (from white to a chocolate color), replacing all of the hardware, and adding new accessories, etc. Well, my one/two week project is going to take longer than I expected because I can't seem to find hardware. The cabinets were built in the 1960s and even though they used to be standard size in today's age the size is not the same. Jon is going to be drilling new holes for the cabinet pulls and I'm still looking for hinges. I'll post pictures soon as I think the bathroom already looks a lot better.
