July Desktop and other things

It is crazy that in a few minutes....July is here! I need to do so much by the end of the year....personal and professional stuff. I've decided to study and take the CMA exam (at least one part) by the end of the year. Jon has started to study for the boards and so I'll be joining him every week...twice a week and do a bit of studying. I wished I'll have known about the certification while I was an undergrad...it would have been much easier.

I'm in Week 4 of my photography class with Karen Russell...wow...so much information and stuff that I didn't know and I'm learning a lot but also getting confused a lot. I just need to practice what I'm learning and hopefully it will sink in. Jon is working Friday and so I'll use this time to take photos of Maggie and Gabe.

I've been busy with house stuff. I finally finished painting the bathroom cabinets last week and even though they're not perfect it is a good improvement. I wanted to purchase a new dining room table for the room next to our kitchen. I started browsing all of the major websites and visited a couple of stores in town. I was disappointed that I couldn't find anything reasonable....so at the end I decided to buy chairs from West Elm (picture to the left), keep my current table, and add a carpet by Flor - Tonal Vision. Our current table is circular so instead of going w/ a 5X7 carpet - it is a big square or 16 squares. You are able to purchase individual carpet squares from Flor to customize your own rug, etc. so it is pretty cool. We have one in our bedroom that we have been testing and so far it is a hit with Jon and the puppies. I'll take pictures this weekend to document some of the improvements to our home. Things to entertain me instead of cleaning the office room, which is a mess...but oh well.

Jon's Graduation

Yesterday was Jon's graduation at University Club of Jackson. He is officially done with residency and begins his "real" job on July 1st. We were surprised as he received the Excellence in Emergency Medicine award as the best resident of his class. My mom is wearing the green dress and Jon's parents are also pictured in this photo. The rest of the photos are ready at Flickr. The lighting was awful and so I tried to edited all of the photos with Photoshop.

Andre allowed me to take pictures of him this past weekend... a total of 80+ as I'm learning how to take better photos. This is one of my favorites.

June Desktop

June is here! Jon is graduating in less than two weeks and I've not found a dress! I'll be shopping this weekend. Desktop by Shabby Princess.
